In this blog you will find details on Anime figures added to my personal collection. Daemon Inks Studios first started off on 2005 as a Website dedicated to war games miniatures, it had reviews, tutorials and a large gallery of miniatures painted by myself the site has gone under heavy changes in the last years as my hobby focus has moved onto Anime figure collecting.
Photography
I did not start with any extensive training or technical knowledge when it came to taking and presenting photographs. Instead I spent some time reading reviews and guides as to how to improve skills and obtain results without excessive spending. To date I take my photos using a Samsung S1030 10million pixel Digicamera which although has a tendency to eat up batteries, it is simple enough for me to use and get the results seen on this site. I do have a mini tripod which I use for full sized shots of my figures outside of this almost all the photos are done with a steady hand and a bit of patience.
The majority of my pictures were taken in the conservatory in natural daylight and with a few bits of coloured card for backing produced these pictures. For indoor photography sessions I use the Tamiya portable photo studio a great item that is fast to set up and fast to pack away and comes with some coloured fabric backgrounds. Below you can see my setup and the quality of photos that be produced with it.
As a rule of thumb I take take ten to twelve shots from multiple angles, then screen the pictures and remove any undesirables. Finally I give the photos a quick clean using Digimax Master (a photo editing software that came with my camera) and PaintNet (a free pogramme similar to Adobe) after which the photos are posted to site.
