After celebrating the fact that I had finally gotten a photo shoot done (Chua Churam), I decided that to keep the momentum going, I should make a calendar plan to help me on the straight and narrow. Originally I was planning to do 3-4 figures a month all in one day but decided that this would not help me get through the backlog of figures. While I only own 81 figures, of those perhaps only 20 have been photographed, so I decided to push myself and plan to take 2 shoots a week with a minimum of 2 figures a night.
One of the results of Sunday’s post was that I was finally able to get over the issue of not been 100% happy with my shots. The ability to change things like colour hue and lighting (through software) has meant that even my crappy photos can be turned into something fairly useable and that is one stigma that I and perhaps new figure photographers need to get over at an early stage. After all taking photos of your favourite figures and sharing is as much fun as buying and displaying them on your shelf.
This week (starting tonight) the following figures will be photographed and worked on for posting next week:
Queen’s Blade (Megahouse) – Menace
Queen Blade (Megahouse) – Aludra
Queen’s Blade (Megahouse) – Echidna
Queen’s Blade (Megahouse) – Melona
So the plan is set in motion, 4 figures a week with photo manipulations during the weekend with finished products posted during the week to ease readers work day boredom. The moral of the story? If you plan things it will happen and once it happens you start having fun again ^_^
