I came across Aural Vampire by while checking out more K-Pop bands, I had never heard Asian electro goth before and my usual music tastes take me quite far away from that music spectrum, but quite frankly after hearing Aural Vampire It’s growing on me! Its eerie however how the singer looks like the perfect candidate for a Princess Ressurection live action movie haha

This track is called “Freeeze”, I would recommend people looking up “Darkwave surfer” also, it’s a great track in my opinion. Ah yes and on the plus side, I just check one of my lost packages: Mirai dakimakura cover (Danny Choo’s mascot) and it is in the warehouse awaiting charges. While getting charges is never a nice thing, the fact that it is in the country and not lost in volcanic ash is reassuring, onwards with the Anime merchandise!

Ah well, yet more cd’s to track down T_T enjoy the track.

Not exactly current news but new to me hehe I noticed on my holiday that there is a surge K-Pop artist sweeping Asia’s Cd charts leaving only the most popular of J-Pop artists on the shelf (ie Utada Hikaru – the only one I could find in almost all the stores). I can pretty attribute the success to the Wonder Girls and this track – “Nobody” which has even made a mark in the U.S.

It is a very amusing video and catchy Pop song with a lively backing track and easy to remember chorus. A lot more hyper than I am use to but in the end I did enjoy it. I am getting hold of more of the Wonder Girls stuff to compare how this track stands with the rest of their music.

I just could not resist, almost as soon as I started writing about Rosario + Vampire I had to listen to this song: “Snow Storm” sang by the character Mizore Shirayuyki is a such a cute little song with a really funny video (taken from the episode). It’s one of those warm fuzzy moments despite coming from the coldest character (literally!) in Rosario Vampire.

Amidst the sounds of blaring guitars and thumping drums you can hear the occasional dance Japanese tracks quietly playing…Hitomi Shimatani is one of those artists that you are more than likely to hear! As a taster I have included the video for one of my favourite tracks called “Falco”.

I first encountered Hitomi’s music last year through the track “Perseus” an interesting track blending high paced dance beats with J-Pop vocals. While I will not pretend to be up to date on the J-Pop scene I still to this day enjoy Hitomi’s music.

On the 29th of January, a new album is coming out titled Otoko Uta II – 20 seiki Nostalgia. Priced at $18.90 I have pre-ordered this album from Playasia.com (see affiliate bar).
